  • Client: 4Trans Factoring
  • Industry: Financial Services / Fintech
  • Project Type: Cloud Modernization & Secure Infrastructure Deployment
  • Services: Cloud Infrastructure Design and Implementation, IaC, Container Orchestration, Managed Databases,Amazon ECR

Customer Challenge

4Trans Factoring, a fast-growing leader in real-time invoice financing, needed a future-ready cloud infrastructure that could support rapid expansion while meeting the stringent demands of financial services. Their goals included:

  • Deploying scalable and secure environments for staging and production
  • Integrating seamlessly with existing on-premises systems
  • Automating deployment pipelines to streamline releases
  • Ensuring high availability, robust data backup, and disaster recovery
  • Managing sensitive data securely to maintain compliance
  • Maintaining cost efficiency and reducing operational overhead

As a fintech platform dealing with sensitive transactions and real-time data, 4Trans required a robust, cloud-native architecture to support both performance and regulatory demands.

AWS Partner Solution

DevOpsGroup designed and delivered a complete AWS-based infrastructure using a modern, DevOps-driven architecture tailored for financial operations.

Core AWS Services Used:

  • Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service): Hosts staging and production environments using containerized microservices with high scalability and availability.
  • Amazon RDS: Provides reliable, managed relational databases for financial data integrity and performance.
  • Amazon ECR (Elastic Container Registry): Stores container images securely for easy deployment across environments.
  • Amazon VPC with VPC Peering: Ensures secure communication between cloud resources and on-premises systems.
  • Amazon S3: Used for backup storage, offering high durability and easy retrieval.
  • AWS KMS (Key Management Service): Powers encryption of all secrets, environment configs, and backup credentials using SOPS.

Infrastructure is provisioned and maintained using Terraform, enabling repeatable, consistent deployments with version control. Deployment automation is handled by GitHub Actions, ensuring rapid and reliable release cycles.

A key technical solution includes an automated nightly backup process running as a Kubernetes CronJob in EKS:

  • Clones the production database into a local container
  • Performs a secure SQL dump
  • Uploads the backup directly to Amazon S3
  • Secrets and credentials are fully encrypted with AWS KMS

Monitoring and observability are handled via a Prometheus stack running within AWS, providing real-time insights into system performance.

Outcomes and Quantitative Results

With AWS and DevOpsGroup, 4Trans now operates a secure, scalable, and resilient cloud platform purpose-built for fintech growth. Benefits include:

  • 100% infrastructure automation via Terraform and GitHub Actions
  • Seamless integration between cloud and on-premises systems using VPC peering
  • Zero data loss incidents due to robust, automated backup and recovery
  • Increased deployment speed with CI/CD pipelines reducing manual effort
  • Reduced operational burden through managed services like RDS and EKS
  • Improved compliance and security using encrypted secrets management (SOPS + AWS KMS)

The result is a fully modernized platform capable of supporting real-time invoice financing services with confidence, reliability, and agility—enabling 4Trans to scale alongside mar

Head of Technology

At 4Trans Factoring, we were looking for a partner to provide us with a DevOps solution for our cloud infrastructure, and we found it in DevOpsGroup. Compared to in-house staff, this partner can easily scale, a feature we’ve already leveraged on three levels. We started with a package for a self-managed Kubernetes cluster (with Terraform, EKS, ALB, RDS), then secured a part-time specialist and now have an external team member who is part of our team, but expertly led from the DevOpsGroup. In terms of expertise, this partner offers an ideal mix between a high level of knowledge, collective experience and flexibility in finding solutions. We appreciate the cooperation and can warmly recommend DevOpsGroup as a partner.
